Something that’s keeping me up at night… is how people with their whole chests said they were voting for Trump because they’re “good” with him repealing “Obama Care” yet having not a clue in the world that Obama Care and the Affordable Care Act are the same thing. What an interesting way to show one’s true colors. Also, these are the five states that had the biggest increase in sign-ups for ACA since 2020. Ya… -Maddie Something that I think is productive is… that if you worked on a campaign, to take advantage of Arena’s job search accelerator, which is all in helping awesome campaign staff find their next role. 10/10 rec. -Maddie Something to watch for… are the moves made on both sides of the aisle related to the 2026 Senate races. Do I think it’s going to be a tough map to gain from? Sure. Do I think there are a lot of variables in the air that could evolve the situation? Without a doubt. -Maddie Something that made me scream into an abyss for a sec… is the Joe Rogan x Elon Musk episode I listened to yesterday with the goal of trying to understand these people. They legit say what the Dems say in reverse. They also throw “misinformation” at everything. Oh, and they’re insane – actually insane. And the fact that this is what guys are learning from… this is who they look up to… -Maddie | Something that’s keeping me up at night… is, well, about five million things, but Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence is at the top of the list. Girly pop has literally been a Russian propaganda mouthpiece – to the point where Mitt Romney called it out. Oh, and we can’t forget her whole weird move with the dictator of Syria, can we?? -Sammy Something that I think is productive is… something you can do right now, which is make these four strategic social media follows in addition to following all of your elected officials. I would rec this no matter who had won, tbh. -Sammy Something to watch for… is how Trump is an excellent generator of chaos, and it’s done purposely to keep us juggling ten balls at once, instead of focusing on fighting back. It’s important to react IMO, but we also can’t let his strategy let us get sidetracked – we’re guilty of it too, so this is a reminder for all [self included]. -Sammy Something that made me scream into an abyss for a sec… Matt Gaetz being picked as Trump’s pick for AG. All of his picks are horrendous IMO, but that one made me wide-eyed in shock for a whole minute before realizing that a man found civilly liable for sexual assault would of course pick a man in the middle of a probe on sex trafficking. 2+2=4. -Sammy |

Four political podcasters, four mics, and loads of election takeaways on this episode featuring our friends from the American Fever Dream Podcast, V Spehar (@undethedesknews) and Sami Sage (@betches_news). Low key, high key this episode could’ve been over 24 hours long, but we wrapped it up into a digestible first look at what happened this election, and what we’ve gleaned so far. It’s the first of many postmortems and rants, and a jumping off point for the work we’ll all have ahead. Tune in via Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube.
OOOOOH THAT’S NIIIIIICE
Lil’ things we’re loving
This szn of Real Housewives of Potomac is absolutely fire, and we’re out here hoping that Van Leeuwen drops a collab ice cream flavor with our faves like the way that they did with Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
MWH’s virtual pilates and sculpt seshes with Nwando Bartley are keeping us sane aka being able to move for 15 minutes in between things is so helpful. If you were a New York Pilates gal you’ll remember Nwando!!
This bipartisan bill – the Social Security Fairness Act – actually passed the House this week, and now it needs to be taken up in the Senate. Call your senators, please, please, please with a cherry on top. You can then brag to your parents and grandparents about how you’re looking out for their social security benefits at Thanksgiving.
Iced coffee with a dash of pistachio milk is >>> and NO, we are NOT raw milk people. PASTURIZE SHIT PLEASE, MY GOD.
In a “heyy we know her!!” moment, state rep. Janelle Bynum won her Congressional race for Oregon's 5th district. We met her at the NewDEAL conference a few years back and we’re so excited to see that she’s now going to DC.
This self-tanner is the best one we’ve used to date. It’s clear gel so not sticky and it doesn’t require a sitting in green paint waiting period.
MERCH DROP !!!
When in doubt, vote them out sweatshirts are back
ADD TO THE DMS
Makin’ their way from DM to DM
Harrison Butker threw out his knee – finally something that doesn’t include throwing insane misogyny out into the universe from the guy.
Trump’s pick for Defense Secretary isn’t just a dangerous pick because he’s a Fox & Friends host, but because his body is literally covered in far right/alt-right/Christin Nationalist tattoos.
What are some of the vital things that the Department of Education does for students across the country? These three things come to mind. P.S. Trump is aiming to nix this dept.
“Trump would never say or do that.” Creator rolls the tapes re: gay marriage.
The Bravo picks for cabinet nominees are killing ussss. Somehow these would be less concerning?? AH.
Trump has his eyes on drafting an executive order that would literally create a board to purge generals that aren’t loyal to him (hint: they’re supposed to be loyal to the constitution, not a president).
BEFORE YOU GO…
