A story that I’m keeping my eye on is… this one out of Georgia [see you guys soon], where the GOP is in a tizzy trying to get their batshit crazy hand count rule back into place after a judge said no dice. -Maddie

Something to share with the groupchat is… this adorable and useful idea that Delegate Kayla Young shared of making little puzzle libraries – kind of like the little book libraries but with puzzles! Wholesome, smart, educational - love it. -Maddie

Something to dig into is… the fact that Larry Hogan, the former governor [GOP] of Maryland who is running for a U.S. Senate seat, approved millions of dollars for his stepmother’s property development when he was in office, according to reporting by TIME. A candidate that doesn’t have that allegation against them is Angela Alsobooks. -Maddie

An episode to share with friends should be… this one with Debbie Mucarsel-Powell who could help us hold the majority in the Senate and flip the seat blue if she wins in Florida. -Maddie

A story that I’m keeping my eye on is… what’s happening with the Nebraska Senate race. It’s heating up – literally, as in one of the candidates filmed an ad where he took a blow torch to a TV. And people say women are dramatic?! -Sammy

Something to share with the groupchat is… this playlist of podcast interviews with VP Harris and the Second Gentlemen. Get to know them as people and get your friends to know their vibe too. -Sammy

Something to dig into is… that three states are at it again with efforts to limit access to abortion medication. Those states are Missouri, Kansas, and Idaho. -Sammy

An episode to share with friends should be…this one with state Rep. Jaime Churches who is running for re-election in Michigan in a must-win, red district.  -Sammy

ON THE POD: WINNING THE RURAL VOTE

An interview with Adam Frisch, Congressional Candidate in CO-3

There are many avenues to flipping the House blue and one of the avenues includes a Republican held seat in rural Colorado – the 3rd Congressional District. And while its inflammatory current representative has moved districts, it’s still a battle to flip with Democrat Adam Frisch making a second swing at it. This episode chats on what is needed to make the district vote blue, the issues impacting rural voters, and the epic father-son road trip 2.0 that’s happening with Adam and his son. Tune into the convo via Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube.

OOOOOH THAT’S NIIIIIICE

Lil’ things we’re loving

  • Welcome PAC is trying to make sure that women win the middle – like we keep it blue across the tent, mmkay? These are the races they need voters to help voters across the finish lines in purple areas.

  • Core Culture Pilates is giving abs meets relaxation, and their 75-minute class option is everythinggggggg. We thought about gatekeeping this one TBH, but here we are.

Makin’ there way from DM to DM

  • If you’re ‘third party curious’ for this election, we first say this, and then we hand you this

  • The satisfaction of Kamala Harris clapping back at MAGA hecklers like this, is truly off the charts. She’s an icon, she is the moment, etc etc etc.

  • In North Carolina, Rep. Jeff Jackson is running for AG against a guy that’s never even prosecuted a case and is vehemently anti-abortion in every possible case. These are the deats.

  • We certainly did not know before seeing this vid of Governor Tony Evers that cheese is supposed to be squeaky.

  • What are some of Harris’s policy proposals? This round-up gives you the need-to-know gist.

  • There is a Gretch-Hen in Michigan – well a Gretchen and a Gretch-Hen to be exact.

  • If men needed abortions, this is where the issue would be… I.e. wouldn’t be an issue according to this candidate.
