“The rules were you guys weren’t going to fact check” - JD Vance

A story I’m keeping tabs on is… the one where the literal former Mesa County Clerk [local elections head] was sentenced to nine years behind bars for – I kid you not – providing unauthorized access to county voting equipment. These are the same people that scream about voter fraud, meanwhile they’re just telling on themselves. -Maddie Something that I’d love people to be aware of is… that the North Carolina Board of Elections has launched a webpage with all of the up to date details for voters in the western part of the state that have been impacted by Hurricane Helene. Anderson Clayton also chatted about how the devastation may impact voters, which is worth a listen. -Maddie Something that’s giving me hope… is quite honestly the reaction to Melania Trump’s yapping about being pro-choice, which even if she is, is such a strategic grift at this point. The reaction seems to understand that – A+ for people not taking this permission-slip style bait. -Maddie Something that’s making me want to buy a stress ball… the possibility of a Trump revenge tour in a second term. He’s talked about it himself, but so have we with our friends at CAP. GO VOTE, OKAY??? -Maddie An episode I want people to share with a friend is… our episode with Debra Shigley who is running for Georgia State House. As we’re seeing in a different state, Oklahoma, public education is under attack – and this episode, while focused on Georgia sheds light on that, which is important to note no matter what state you’re in. -Maddie | A story I’m keeping tabs on is… that the one of pure heinousity, the list of members of Congress who voted against FEMA relief before Hurricane Helene, all while knowing a storm was coming, and that hurricane season was/isn’t over. These reps are literally from the states impacted. I truly just cannot. -Sammy Something that I’d love people to be aware of is… that USAFacts has a nonpartisan facts-only newsletter that can not just inform you, but will position you to win any political bar trivia night you attend. It’s one of my faves because #funfacts. -Sammy Something that’s giving me hope… the polling in the North Carolina governor’s race showing Josh Stein 17 points ahead of Lt. Governor Mark Robinson. BTW Robinson didn’t vote on current Governor Cooper’s emergency declaration for the state, and yet the guy that burned his hand on a truck exhaust pipe [how can you be that dumb??] is complaining that the governor isn’t doing enough?? Oh wait this was supposed to be about hope, oops. -Sammy Something that’s making me want to buy a stress ball… is really so many things ATM, but if we’re going to call one out, it’s the fact that Trump as prez literally initially refused to provide federal disaster relief to California for the deadly 2018 wildfires because it’s a ‘Dem state.’ It’s that type of insanity that makes me stressed AF for if he wins in November. -Sammy An episode I want people to share with a friend is.. our episode with Rep. Colin Allred. I’ve said it once, twice, a million times at this point, but he’s got a great shot at beating Ted Cruz, and part of making that happen is informing voters about Rep. Allred, turning those voters out, AND especially educating them on the fact that there’s a REAL alternative to come out and to vote for. -Sammy |

TAKE ACTION – PLEDGE TO BE A CLEAN ENERGY VOTER
This action is brought to you by Clean Energy for America Action
Dems have an incredible record of driving clean energy investments that create jobs. Their Clean Energy Plan is already driving the creation of more than 310K jobs - and when fully implemented will support nine million American jobs. VP Harris will build on this progress. Meanwhile, Donald Trump will end clean energy investments. Don’t let Trump roll back the historic progress we’ve seen in the last 4 years, pledge to vote for progress not backtracking.
