“Undecided doesn’t tell us how they think, it tells us where they are” -Congressman Maxwell Frost
A story I’m keeping tabs on is… what this VP debate on Tuesday is going to look like. I’m so curious about the prep and really how someone gets in debate mode. This look at the whole song and dance def gives a bit more insight on how it comes together and how it has this time around. -Maddie A scandal I can’t get over is… this evolving one from NY Rep. D’Esposito – like what is going on in New York these days??? But also kind of everywhere because there isn’t a day without a scandal though. Anyways, this particular one gives me some serious hope though that we can take back the House, which we need to via taking back seats in New York and California. -Maddie Something that makes me hopeful is… Doug. Like Doug Emhoff. I can just say Doug, right?? Like c’mon. -Maddie A read worth throwing in the GC is… this read on the insanity that election officials are dealing with not just at the state level but at the county. It’s actually insane [and tbh unacceptable – America, do better]. -Maddie A TikTok that I favorited was… this explainer about the plump rotund nugget that is Moo Deng the baby hippo. My less online friends are like Moo Deng, who?? So, yea, send them this if they don’t know because it will change their life to have Moo Deng in theirs. -Maddie Something I’d love to see people do is… to research all of their down ballot candidates. Some will be easier to find deats on – trust, we get it, there legit are candidates especially at the local level that don’t even have websites. But you can treat it like you’re looking for intel on your ex, ya know?? -Maddie | A story I’m keeping tabs on is… FL Senator Rick Scott being as The Hill calls it “in peril” with the abortion ballot measure on the ticket this fall since it contrasts with his views. I’d argue with The Hill and also say it’s because this is who’s running against him. Either way, I am super curious to see how this race develops in the home stretch to e-day that we’re in. -Sammy A scandal I can’t get over is… everything Eric Adams-related, obvi. Have I been waiting for something like this for a MINUTE?? Ya for sure. But more than anything for me, it’s the “how we got here” and the “how can we fix it” of the sitch I hope people zero in on. -Sammy Something that makes me hopeful is… this reporting in a heavy Trump-red district in PA, specifically the women sharing who they’re voting for. -Sammy A read worth throwing in the GC is… this one on UFOs – yes, I’m serious. It’s one of those where it’s going to open up so many cans of worms, even some political ones, and low key I think the resulting convo would be so fun. -Sammy A TikTok that I favorited was… this cutie one with the weiner dog with the weiner dog sized purse. You best believe I’m now on the hunt for one like this for my niece, Disco who makes a guest appearance here. -Sammy Something I’d love to see people do is… share this newsletter and Gov Hub :) Perty please with a cherry on top so we get more of the girlies in the gov. -Sammy |
