A story on my radar is… not really a single story, but a pattern. The pattern is how different both campaigns are. Like, JD Vance literally got booed by firefighters… woof. Meanwhile, Kamala went to band practice and Walz went to get Cookout. Love it. -Maddie

Something that just… made me so happy??? Rep. McGarvey – ya know, Jack Harlow’s BFF, is going to perform at the Congressional Record 2024 music event that’s just around the corner. Like, okay?? SLAY. We should’ve asked him what he loves to perform, but whoops, guess we will next time. -Maddie

Something that grinds my gears is… this beef that the traditional press seems to have with content creators, especially with creators attending the DNC. There is room and lanes for everyone. So much to say tbh, but this is my full rant on it. -Maddie

Something I hope people do over LDW… share our good new bears series on social and in gov hub. Obvi the vibes have shifted but we need to continue to share the positive and bring the joy. -Maddie

A story on my radar is… that RFK Jr. is still on some ballots and not allowed on others. It’s not so much the RFK of it that interests me here, but more of just the bureaucracy around ballot access or changes. I feel like the whole system needs to be streamlined, otherwise it’s just so confusing for voters, especially low info voters. -Sammy

Something that just… is former NJ Governor Chris Christie teaching a course at Yale on running for office. Like… we couldn’t have picked anyone else?? Anyone?? I hope the beach incident is a whole bit of the course. -Sammy

Something that grinds my gears is… when people think vintage and thrifted are the same thing. Being second hand [which we love] doesn’t automatically mean it’s vintage. All the stores claiming to be vintage stores that are sharing last year’s Zara are not vintage stores. SORRY. -Sammy

Something I hope people do over LDW… is talk to their friends about making a voter plan. You’re all together, you can make it a group activity as much as possible, like plan to all get coffee after or lunch etc. -Sammy
